The Three Legs

Have you ever sat in an unbalanced chair or can you imagine yourself sitting in an unbalanced chair? I bet you you cannot be on that seat for a long time. You will fall and may even get injured.

No right thinking man will sit on a chair that has no balance. He would prefer to stand or get something to support the chair so that he wouldn’t fall.
But right now if you see a responsible man sitting on an unbalanced chair tell him, he’d make you know that he’s aware that the chair has no balance.

That is the world we find ourselves. Knowledge has increased everywhere but some people still act ignorantly. You may blame them but who knows if you are one.

Have you asked yourself why it looks as though sin (the world) has taken over the Church?
Why are Christian marriages in shambles?
Why are youths and children interested in the world rather than the Word?
Why the altar of God instead of burning and glowing is now quenched completely?

Don’t go too far because the answers are here. The reasons are these: the home (husband and wife) and the Church (the entire body of Christ) are sitting on an unbalanced chair. The three legs of the chair are no more.

These three legs are:
The Word of God
Prayer and
Fellowship amongst brethren.

The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:16 “let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (not poorly) in all wisdom.”

Question: How richly has the Word of God taken root in you?
How much time do you have for God’s Word?

The Bible also tells us in 1st Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray without ceasing.”
Prayer is communication between God and you.

Question: How often do you communicate with God? Or do you only remember Him when you need Him?

The Bible tells us in Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting (inciting, urging) one another and so much more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Question: Do you neglect the gathering together of God’s children? Do you think it is not important?

It is very important and an instruction that should not be taken lightly.

When you sit on these three Legs:

  • You will always be connected to the Spirit of God.
  • You won’t be pushed by any wave because you are strongly rooted in the Word.
  • The Word of God is complete and has answers and solutions to everything in life.
  • You will have good success in your home and in all you do.
  • You will always know the mind of God through His Word or as you communicate with Him through Prayers.

Check: Are you sitting on these three Legs or are you on the floor?
You can always get up.
Don’t forget you need the three Legs to be balanced.
