I planted a seed in my little garden, and before I knew it, some unwanted plants appeared around my tender plant.
A few days later, I noticed the unwanted plants had grown past my plant and choked them.
This event reminded me of a Scripture verse: Galatians 4:29
This passage shows two categories of women and sons born to them. First is the slave woman and her son, and then the free woman and her son.
BORN ACCORDING TO THE FLESH:
The son of the slave woman was born according to the flesh, meaning It wasn’t part of God’s plan.
It mechanically or forcefully originated outside the will of God.
BORN ACCORDING TO DIVINE PROMISE:
The son of the free woman was born according to the spirit.
It was orchestrated by divinity and the perfect will of God.
Like the unwanted plants in my garden, the slave woman and her son were the results of a man-made mistake; they were not products of intentionality. They were not desired, yet they remained and waxed strong. Do you see that?
Note that the Scripture recorded that the son of the slave woman persecuted the son of the free woman, that child of promise._(Galatians 4:29 NIV, At that time, the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now)._
So what?
At this juncture, it becomes imperative to know what the Scripture says.
As a woman, you don’t sit and allow the bondwoman’s son to struggle with your child of promise.
What then should you do? We do what the Scripture says!!
“Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” Galatians 4:30 NIV)._
You are responsible for casting out the bondwoman’s son before he ruins your son of promise.
Any character, attitude, or behavior that is not according to what God has promised in your life, your spouse, or children are sons of a slave woman and must be gotten rid of in the place of prayer.
Will you let the son of the slave woman keep having her way?
Remember, if nothing is done, he will rise above your son of promise, persecute him, and choke him. By this time, irreparable damage may have been done.
Go into your home and cast out any son of the bondwoman.
ONLY YOUR ISAAC MUST REMAIN!!
