It’s A New Year, Don’t Be Idle!

There is not a more beautiful way to start the year than starting with the Word of God. The Word of God is a compass and a guide to anyone who wants to progress in life and in all ramifications.

The Bible began with a book called Genesis. The book of Genesis is known as the book of creation. A book that tells us how the world (including man and beast) was created and made by the Word.

After the creation of the world, a garden called Eden was also created and beautified. In this garden, there were fruits, food, water and gold amongst other things. It was a complete garden. God created man and put him in the garden, and gave him an assignment. The assignment was to dress it and keep it.

The Woman later, was made from the rib of Adam to be a helper. Her assignment was to help him dress and keep the garden.

In the third chapter of Genesis, we see how the fall of man started and ended.

Have you wondered why the serpent(devil) never came to and through Adam?

It wasn’t because Adam, being a man, will know what to do when the serpent comes to deceive him.
It wasn’t because Adam was created wiser and smarter than the woman.
It’s also not because men are not as vulnerable as women as some think and say.

THE DEVIL COULDN’T FIND A SPACE TO COME TO AND THROUGH ADAM BECAUSE HE(ADAM) WAS BUSY WITH GOD WITH WHAT GOD HAD INSTRUCTED HIM TO DO. HE WAS BUSY DRESSING AND KEEPING THE GARDEN.

Eve was vulnerable not because she’s a woman but because she kept herself in a vulnerable state and the serpent (devil) knowing he has but a short time always strikes when an opportunity presents itself.

Eve was idle and her idleness exposed her to the serpent (devil).

Vulnerability is not gender specific.
You become vulnerable in your idle state, when you are not busy doing what God has assigned you to do.

It’s normal for people to be excited at the beginning of a new year with so many planned goals to achieve.
Don’t be carried away by the new year euphoria and the resolution you penned down.

What are the assignment(s) given to you by God?
What are your self-given goals for the year?

If you don’t get busy this year by action and not words alone, you will keep yourself in a vulnerable state for the devil to keep you busy with sin, failure and regret.

This new year, you must get yourself busy;
● Busy in constant koinonia(Fellowship) with the LORD.
● Busy with His Word.
● Busy obeying God.
● Busy in executing your self-given goals.
● Busy developing yourself.
● Busy identifying and putting away your distractions.
● Busy accessing yourself weekly and monthly.
● Busy expecting the best.
● Busy building capacity to love, understand and forgive.

The devil is a busy being and he has restructured his plans this new year to distract you from your assignment(s).
You must keep him idle by getting busy doing your God given assignments, self-given goals and always by fasting and prayer.

Don’t forget;
An idle wo(man) is the devil’s cultivating field.
