You wait for the beginning of the year or month to start your resolution. Who told you a new dawn only begins on the 1st of January or the 1st of every month? Many of us were once victims of this lie, and many are still.
Have you ever regretted delaying or putting off something you shouldn’t have? Do you beat your chest in regret and promise never to repeat the same mistake? If you haven’t learnt anything so far from your past mistakes, you might have pressed the pause button on your life.
Several regrets in life come as a result of procrastination. We often forget that the mother of regret is procrastination.
You can not discover your God-given potential if you don’t seek to know. And how can you know without having an intimate relationship with GOD that can change your life forever?
That intimate relationship can start today. I mean, now, irrespective of your status, age, background, race, mistakes, and past life.
Forget About The Past
[Isaiah 43:18-19: Remember ye, not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert].
We have been told in the above Scriptures of truth to forget about the past and old things. Things of the past include hurts, sorrows, ugly relationships, disappointments, reproaches, shame, lack, failures, mistakes, nasty characters, and sinful habits.
Holding on to the past hinders you from beholding and enjoying to the fullest the new things to come.
Refrain from hugging the past and old. Hug the present and new beautiful things.
Remember, every day is a NEW DAWN. So, make it count. Don’t put off for the next day what you can and should do today.
Start something today!
Start now and avoid procrastination.
