We admire the likes of the popular king David not knowing that a hidden kingdom is in you. Yes you!

You think all of a sudden David became a king? How magical it sounds.

David was 17 years old when he was anointed by Samuel as a king. Let me bust your bubble. Before he was anointed as king, he was found doing something. He became an expert in shepherding his father’s sheep. He was doing that judiciously. Can I tell you something? David already knew God at that time. You ask me how I know that? Well the Bible made us know that secret.

You remember before he confronted Goliath, he told king Saul ….The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, He will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine (1st Samuel 17:36-37).

Did you see the boldness, fearlessness and assurance in those words? Those words were no words from a timid and inexperienced young soul. He knew God Almighty, has experienced Him, has a relationship with Him and above all, he knew His capability.

With his relationship and knowledge of God, he did exploit in his generation that generations till date talk about him and his exploits.

You see you can be young and still know God personally and experientially.

Did I hear you say David was a man child but, you are female and more vulnerable?

Hold it there, dearest!

She was blessed amongst women in her time and till date. Through her our Lord and Saviour Jesus came. Do you think God just selected a random person?

No babe! He selected an asset.

Mary was disciplined, a virgin and she knew God. When the Angel came to her, she knew it was a message from the Lord and submitted to His will.

Although Mary’s age wasn’t recorded in the Bible but based on Jewish law, she would have been betrothed and given birth to Jesus between the ages of 12 – 18. She was a teenager.

Are you still thinking you don’t have opportunity [ies] to explore your world? Are you there thinking of how disadvantaged you are? Well you become what you say and believe.

Phillis Wheatley was sold into slavery as a child. She learnt how to read and write. At age 20, she became the first ever African-American woman to be recognized as a published poet.
