A ladder is a piece of equipment consisting of a series of bars or steps between two upright lengths of wood, metal, or rope, used for climbing up or down something.
Have you ever climbed a ladder or watched someone climbing a ladder? You watch and observe how they climb the steps with so much carefulness. Sometimes they look down to be sure of the next step before putting their legs. But as they climb you would notice how focused and upward they look.
As you climb a ladder, you don’t look at another to watch their climbing ability else, you may be confused, may lose balance and also may not reach your end step. Life is like a ladder. It is one step at a time. Your step and upward movement is very important because it determines your end.
Every day and every stage in life can be likened to a step. If you aren’t careful while climbing you will hit your feet against a step and it will hurt. And if you are still careless, you may crash-land.
Life is like a ladder. Your climbing must be with carefulness and being focused.
Dear Teen, carefulness is needed at every stage of your life and this stage is even more crucial. Be careful as you live your God given life – the friends you make and keep, the things you say, how you even dress (don’t forget how you dress can influence how you will be addressed), the places you go, your actions and reactions.
You know as you climb a ladder, you look up. It simply means your every step should be connected upwards (to GOD). No matter how careful you think you are, you will still have to look up as you climb.
Do not ignore the Only One you should look up to else it will be disastrous. Your carefulness without God is like a car without an engine.
