Just as the future holds good days, we should know there are also evil days. Failure to admit this would be living in a lie.
I remember a few years ago when I was hurting and bereaved over the demise of my Dad, and it was so difficult to be comforted. Some days, I would question God ‘why me?’ but no response because that was certainly not the right question.
Looking back, I asked myself recently, ‘If not me, then who?’ Who should it be or good for to experience the pain and trauma of losing a loving father?
I never imagined he would be absent and be spoken of in the past.
We don’t pray for evil days, but they greet us almost every other day. It could be in the form of temptation to sin, Christian faith, work-related, relationship issues, financial problems, health crises, career challenges, etc.
Unpleasant/evil days can feel like a never-ending cycle of misery and frustration. They can be filled with a sense of hopelessness and helplessness, leaving one feeling lost and alone. The agony of bad days can manifest itself in many different ways.
In today’s world, the threat of evil is always looming. It seems like every day, we hear about a new tragedy, a new disaster, or a new act of violence. It’s easy to feel powerless in the face of such darkness, but there are steps we can take to protect ourselves and our loved ones.
Prayer has been a source of comfort and strength for people throughout history. It is a way to connect with God and seek guidance and protection in times of need. When it comes to protecting ourselves and our loved ones from evil, many people turn to prayer as a powerful tool.
Praying against evil days involves asking for divine intervention in the face of darkness and uncertainty. It can be a way to seek protection from harm, ask for wisdom and discernment in temptation and difficult situations, and find peace and comfort amid challenges.
One of the key benefits of praying against evil days is that it can help us to focus our minds and hearts on what is truly important. When faced with challenges and difficulties, it can be easy to become overwhelmed and lose sight of our priorities. Prayer can help us to refocus our attention on what matters most and to find the strength and courage we need to face whatever lies ahead.
It is also a source of comfort and support as we lift one another up in prayer and seek God Almighty’s blessings and protection.
Of course, life has no guarantees, and we cannot control everything that happens to us. But by praying against evil days, we can find a sense of peace and comfort in the knowledge that we are not alone and that God is there watching over us.
Prayer is a weapon that should never be idle.
Prayer is a missile that can be reloaded.
When we pray today, we save our tomorrow.
Praying ceaselessly should be our watchword.
