Who told you a new dawn only begins on the 1st of January or 1st of every month? A lot of us were once victims of this lie and many are still. You wait for the beginning of the year or month to start what you term resolution.
Why put off for the next day what you can and should do today? Many opportunities have been lost never to be regained as a result of waiting for a new dawn.
Have you ever regretted delaying or putting off something you shouldn’t have? You beat your chest in regret and promise yourself never to repeat the same mistake? Well, if you haven’t learnt anything so far from your past mistakes, you might have pressed the pause button on your life.
Procrastination
Several regrets in life come as a result of procrastination. We often forget that the mother of regret is procrastination.
You can not discover your God given potentials if you don’t seek to know. And how can you seek to know without having an intimate relationship with GOD that can change your life forever?
That intimate relationship can start today. I mean, now, irrespective of your status, age, background, race, mistakes and past life.
Forget About The Past
[Isaiah 43:18-19: Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert].
We have been clearly told in the above Scriptures of truth to forget about the past and old things. Things of the past include hurts, sorrows, ugly relationships, disappointments, reproaches, shame, lack, failures and mistakes.
Confess those past once again to God and leave them there. Eradicate them from your memory else they will eradicate you.
Holding on to the past hinders us from beholding and enjoying to the fullest the new things to come.
Refrain from hugging the past and old. Hug the present and new beautiful things.
Remember, everyday is a NEW DAWN. So, make it count.
Start something today!
Start it now!
