It was a beautiful sunny Sunday. The service was beautiful though unpredictable because the pattern of how the Spirit of God leads His minister varies from sermon to sermon. During the sermon, the minister addressed mothers and aspiring mother’s to be, and stressed on the role mothers play in the lives of their children.
It was a wakeup call to all mothers. While ministering, our Pastor said something that kept me thinking for the whole day, and it gave birth to good fruits. One of them is this article that has been inspired by the Spirit of God. He said and I quote ” mothers or murderers.” That sounds harsh but so deep and true.
Being a mother either by birth or adoption is an unspeakable joy, a gift, a blessing and an assignment/ministry. Through you and by you destinies can be moulded, fashioned and raised to be a shining light.
Through you and by you destinies can also be scattered, brushed aside and razed.
The Bible admonishes parents in Proverbs 22:6 to train up a child in the way he/she should go, and even when the child is old, they will not depart from it.
When it comes to training a child/children, no partner should leave the burden of training to the other partner. Both are to be fully involved, giving their best and supporting each other without disrespect or disagreement, and if such an occasion of disagreement arises, it should never be in the presence of the child(ren).
However, when it comes to building the home, the woman has a special kind of skill, strategy and wisdom given her by the Almighty God. Proverbs 14:1.
Only those mothers who know what has been embedded in them utilize it to the fullest and always stay close to their Source (God) because they don’t want to suffer loss.
When constructing a building, the foundation determines the stability of the structure, because that is what bears the structural members. The depth of the foundation determines the number of floors the building will carry. You cannot use a shallow foundation for a building of more than 2 floors. The foundation must be deep, otherwise, the building can cave in and collapse.
In the same way a wise woman who wants to build or is building her home must be aware that her foundation matters a lot. What she does and says at the foundation stage of her children’s life determines what becomes of them in the future.
The foundation level determines if she is mothering or murdering her child(ren).
Every big beautiful building that is admired, is the product of money, skill, time and wisdom invested in that building.
Every child is precious and so must be treated like gold. It’s not an easy journey to train and build your child(ren) but He(God) that has gifted them to you is willing daily to assist if only you also recognize and rely on Him.
Hello Dear Mothers, consider the pain, stress, hormonal changes you went through to have that/those precious seed(s) and endeavour never to neglect the period of training and building.
To all mothers and aspiring mother’s, I pray we will not fail in our duties as mothers in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
