Knowledge is essential in the life of everyone because knowledge in itself is power but lack of application of the knowledge is foolishness.
There are so many good and godly books on relationships and marriage because it gives awareness of what happens or can happen in any relationship. Nevertheless, knowledge of everything you know because of the books you’ve read is not a guarantee of a successful marriage.
There are people who have read so many books on marriage, attended seminars etc but are in hellish situations in their marriage. Could it be they wanted it so? Certainly no. The reason for failed marriages is negligence of an essential personality – THE HOLY SPIRIT.
John 14:26 tells us “But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you.” (kjv)
Marriage is an institution that is not owned nor was it established by any man but God. It’s an institution that no one knows about except what God has made him know. It’s a school that you can’t graduate from except death comes knocking. It’s a road that is unique to individuals. The key given to Mr. A is not the same key Mr. B should use.
In marriage, you cannot remember everything you’ve read in the past nor teach your spouse what needs to be done.
The Holy Spirit is the teacher and also a reminder of everything good. He teaches you everything with regards to your words, actions, reactions, thoughts, company, and habits.
You can be neglected by your husband if you neglected the Holy Spirit.
