Have you asked yourself why do people fail in things they should succeed in? Why do people fail in exams, careers, business, relationship, ministry, marriage and parenting?
I know humans love to give excuses for their failure or blame another. Some blame the failed system in their country, others blame teachers, coaches, leaders, parents or their spouses.
Well, no matter what excuse we may give, the truth is that the reason for most failures recorded by a person or group of persons is lack of knowledge. Yes! You read correctly.
What is knowledge?
Knowledge is familiarity, awareness, or understanding of someone or something, such as facts (descriptive knowledge), skills (procedural knowledge), or objects (acquaintance knowledge). The term “knowledge” can refer to a theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
When you lack awareness of a course, career, business or even a person be it a teacher, spouse etc then failure is guaranteed.
You want to study Pharmacy, you need to have awareness of what the field is all about.
How can you get the necessary information?
You can get all the information you need by reading materials that serve as a guide and also asking questions from those in that field.
One of the blessings this generation has is information, but only few strive to get it.
You can learn and know anything you wish to. The good, bad and ugly information are available. The choices of the information you need are yours to make.
Presently, people spend more money on gadgets, expensive jewelry and clothes, cars, vacations, wedding ceremonies, birthday parties etc and can hardly purchase an informative book to read, attend seminars, ask experienced successful people questions, take skill enhancing courses or subscribe for mentorship.
Have you had a conversation with someone and was wowed at the wisdom and information that was flowing from them? That is the seed of knowledge.
Knowledge separates you from the rest.
A knowledgeable person is one of wealth and power.
● Don’t be in a rush to study that course without knowledge of the field.
● Don’t be in a rush to start up a business without the right knowledge.
● Don’t be in a rush to enter marriage just to be married without knowledge of what marriage is all about.
● Don’t be in a rush to be a parent without having knowledge of what parenting is all about.
● Don’t be in a rush to start a friendship without knowing what friendship is all about.
Anything you don’t have knowledge about and you enter into, it will bring frustration to you. That’s the reason for the failures recorded in different spheres of life.
Why is knowledge important?
Knowledge sharpens our skills (like reasoning and problem-solving). A strong base of knowledge helps brains function more smoothly and effectively. We become smarter with the power of knowledge and solve problems more easily. Knowledge is important and useful in day to day events.
As you learn and acquire knowledge of other things please do acquire the greatest of knowledge which is knowing God experientially. Jeremiah 9:23-24
How can you know God?
● Accepting Him as your Lord.
● Forsaking your sinful past.
● Constantly reading His Word.
● Relentlessly communing with Him through prayers.

To acquire knowledge, you must pay the price and the price is Discipline.
You must be disciplined to read, disciplined to save money for the required knowledge you seek and disciplined to constantly pray.
Why must you pray to God?
You must pray for guidance from God as your source of knowledge because some information is poisonous and some person’s are deceitful.

Your life can be shaped or shapeless with the knowledge you get and what you do with it.
