Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of life and the birth of a new year. It is a new beginning of hope, faith and promises from You to us. We also want to admit and confess to You that we also do feel anxious about this new beginning even in the midst of exictment.
Lord, our eyes are fixed on You and our hands stretched out to You to hold. Guide us through the year, give us peace, grant us favour, show us mercy, surround us with love, empower us with wisdom, gift us godly and purpose driven men, bounce us always on support, and shield us from sin, sickness and shame.
This we ask in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen
