SHE MISSED OUT, WILL YOU?

Each time I study Genesis 3, it achieves two things; it makes me sad and, secondly, puts me in a sober and prayerful mood.

Eve didn’t cause the fall of man for only disobeying God by listening to the devil through the serpent. Instead, the fall of man was possible because Eve failed to recognize who she was (who the LORD GOD had made in her).

She didn’t just fail to take charge of her territory, but she ultimately failed in knowing what was willed in her by God.

   Some Bible TranslationGenesis 3:1

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Genesis 3:1 KJV

NOW THE serpent was more subtle and crafty than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made. And he [Satan] said to the woman, Can it really be that God has said, You shall not eat from every tree of the garden?

Genesis 3:1 AMP

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

Genesis 3:1 NKJV

Now the snake was the most cunning animal that the LORD God had made. The snake asked the woman, “Did God really tell you not to eat fruit from any tree in the garden?”

Genesis 3:1 GNB

While studying the passage of the scripture, I paused to meditate, and my Teacher (The Holy Spirit) began to teach me something new.

The serpent was made by God to be cunning. That is its makeup – to be cunning, subtle, crafty, tricky, etc. It knew it had the ability, gift, and power to deceive whoever it wanted to without struggle.

Phew! An opportunity presented itself, and he grabbed it without a second thought. When the serpent came to the woman, it came with the intention to take them out of God’s will with the knowledge it knew about itself.

The woman, on the other hand, never knew she was made up of wisdom, authority, and dominion to take charge and be in charge of her territory.

The serpent, without stress, took out man from God’s presence because of Eve.

Many of us are in one ugly situation because we lack the knowledge of who we are, what we have within us, and who(God) we have with us.

Dear Woman, be alert and activate what lies within you. Never allow the devil to displace you from your territory.

When he comes with cunning/crafty advice, use the wisdom, authority, and dominion within you to tackle him.

Guide and guard your territory (life, husband, children, and any life around you) with that which the Lord God had made of you.

Having the proper knowledge is a step to victory.

Application of the knowledge keeps the devil perpetually frustrated and defeated.

  1. This is a superlative exposition.
Within the property of wisdom that the woman should possess and arm herself with lies submission.
Eve might have saved the day if she took time to consult with, or pass the bulk to her husband.
May we submit to the directorship of the Holy Ghost in all situations.
    Thanks.
