As you journey through life with the desire to achieve success in whatever you want or are called to do, Confidence is crucial as it plays a significant role.
I have interacted with young ladies, and one of the major struggles they face is low self-esteem, which often starts early in life.
Low self-esteem is not just a joy stealer but a destiny destroyer. It steals your joy, pauses your life, adds misery, and finally destroys its victim.
As a young lady or even married, low self-esteem can be displayed in your persistent self-doubt, challenging negative self-talk, extreme shyness, fear of being assertive, seeking validation from people, feeling inadequate, lack of self-love, constantly yielding to external pressure, fear of starting afresh because of past failures, decisions and mistakes, insecurity which sometimes can be as a result of appearance(looks, height, complexion etc.), and feeling unloved by God or people around you.
Building confidence involves believing in your abilities and values, using them to achieve your goals, and learning from your experiences.
Confidence building begins with knowing and understanding who you are and having an image of who you’ll become. It is a gradual process, but each step you take can lead to significant improvements.
The devil cannot stop you from becoming who you desire or have been destined to be without your permission.
So, if you are currently struggling with low self-esteem, it is because you have given it permission to ridicule and mesmerise you.
Confidence empowers you to take on challenges, make decisions, and pursue goals with determination.
To break free from these shackles, you must acknowledge that you lack confidence and need it. Your confidence foundation is laid when you become intentional, purposeful, and committed to becoming the person you have pictured.
You have all it takes to be confident. All you need to do is first look inward, understand who you are, appreciate your strengths and weaknesses, invest your time in skill acquisition, utilise your discovered talents and gifts rather than burying them, be firm on positive affirmation, push yourself out of your comfort zone, invest knowledge in yourself by getting inspiring and transformative books, reshuffle your circle with confident people, and most importantly, fear the LORD for His fear gives strong confidence (Proverbs 14:26).
Confidence is one of the keys that opens doors, the spark that ignites dreams; without it, success is hard to find.
Your confidence is yours for the claim, and now is the time to claim and reclaim what’s yours.
